Creepypasta: An Anonymous Writer

It was my 15th birthday! Dad had passed away about 5 years ago, yet mum still managed to afford to get me a few PS3 games as well as $30. She was a good mum, and I meant the world to her. We lived in an eight story appartment together, and we were on the eighth floor.

I gave one of my first games a go, which was Sonic Generations. As I was playing, I noticed outside the window that someone from down across the road was having a yard sale. I had $30, so I decided to pause the game and head over for a quick look.

This guy had many cheap things, but nothing that I was really interested in. He had really old clock's, ornaments and even old spoons... I was about to head back, but in the corner of my eye I saw something small and red. It was a Pokemon Fire Red game! I had only played Leaf Green before, and I knew there wasn't much difference, but I asked for the price anyway.

When I asked for the price, he told me that this game wasn't his, and he didn't know how it got there... I thought some kid must've accidently left it on the table as they were looking. But still, he just said I could have it for nothing. What a great Birthday! I didn't even have to spend my Birthday money.

As I walked up the stairs to my appartment, I was looking at the cartridge. It was normal in every way, and it was all shiny. I thought that I'd play it after I had more of a go at Sonic Generations.

As I entered the room, I went over to the TV to resume my game. But as I got closer, the screen started to go funny. I was still holding my Fire Red game, and the TV eventually shut down. I tried turning it back on, and it wouldn't. argh! Why does this have to happen when I get a brand new PS3 game!?

Mum came in and told me that it probobly overheated from leaving it on. That can't have been it though, I only had it on for the time I was gone. Oh well, I decided to let the TV cool down, and got my DS lite. Lucky I still had this game to play.

I stuck the game in, and turned the DS on. An opening came up with a clefairy sprite in darkness with the words Pokemon Fire Red, flashing slowly above it. The music was very faint, but I'm sure it was lavender town. Except something about this music was a little different... It was more like lavender town music backwards.

This isn't at all how Leaf Green's opening was. Even though I hadn't played Fire Red, I knew this wasn't right. I had a feeling someone had hacked the game and left it on the table for someone to pick up. And that person was me. I was disappointed that this could be a hacked game, because I wanted to play a normal Fire Red game. Oh well, may as well give this a go...

I clicked new game, but there was no proffesor at the start. It just said, are you a boy or girl? I chose girl, and it had only three choices for her name. Tuhs, Nwod or Won. You could only pick out of those three, so I chose Won because Won meant winning, and I loved to win.

Of coarse, I happened to start in front of the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town. The reversed lavender Town music was still playing. Was this guy just being unoriginal? How many times do creepy hacks occur here?... Still, I checked my Pokemon team and I didn't have any Pokemon yet. I decided to walk into the Pokemon Tower.

I walked in, but there was no one inside. There were graves and that was it. I walked foward a little and noticed a Clefairy just ahead. I walked up to it and pressed A.

"The Clefairy is holding some MAIL..."

read? yes/no

I pressed no, and the Clefairy ran up to the next floor really fast. I chased after it up to the second floor. The Clefairy was standing there again. I went up and pressed A again, and it said;

"The Clefairy is holding some MAIL..."

read? yes/no

This time I clicked yes, and a letter came up. I read it;

"Look after my Clefairy until I come... I will meet you at the eighth floor to pick it up... I'm at the first floor... 7 minutes..."

I went back to the overworld, and the Clefairy ran up the stairs again. I was thinking about Leaf Green's Pokemon Tower. I'm pretty sure there were seven floors... But then again, this definitely is a hack, so I'm not surprised. I ran up the stairs, but this time Clefairy wasn't there. It must've gone to the eighth floor where I was meant to meet the guy.

I ran up each floor, still nothing but grave stones. I got to the eighth floor, and nothing was unusual about it. The Clefairy was at the otherside of the room. About a minute had passed, and it started jumping up and down. I went up to it and pressed A.

"The Clefairy is holding some MAIL..."

This time it didn't ask if wanted to read or not, I had to. Except this time it said something different.

"Out of rare candies? Don't worry, I'll bring some for you... I'm at the second floor now... 6 minutes..."

How was he sending new messages to his Clefairy? And what the hell was he on about? He's randomly changing the subject to rare candies. I waited for another minute. That's when the Clefiry started jumping again. I went up and pressed A.

"The Clefairy is holding some MAIL..."

This time it said;

"I'm coming... I'm at the third floor now... 5 minutes..."

What was this eerie feeling? It felt like something was getting closer and closer, and I just didn't like it... I decided to run around the empty room, because I was bored, yet a little excited... I checked the trainer card and Won's picture looked a little off. She looked frightened. I looked at it closly, and I could almost notice small movements of her mouth, like it was trying to say something.

Another minute had passed. Clefairy jumped slower this time. I pressed A on it.

"The Clefairy is holding some MAIL..."

I read it;

"Right now I am at the fourth floor... I will be there very soon... 4 minutes..."

While I waited, I decided to sit my DS down and check on the TV. As I went to the TV, I noticed that Mum wasn't anywhere around. I tried turning on the TV, but it still wouldn't go. I thought maybe Mum went down to her friend on the seventh floor. The door was dead locked and I couldn't open it. Why would Mum dead lock the door? I heard a faint Clefairy cry, and realized it came from my game.

I ran back upstairs to find it jumping. I had left it for 2 minutes now. I pressed A.

"The Clefairy is holding some MAIL..."

I had the choice of picking out of two letters. I chose the first one.

"Behind you are the sounds of my breath...  My breaths are currently on the fifth floor... I heard my Clefairy cry... did you leave it all alone and run off? I hope not... 3 minutes..."

I looked at the next letter;

"You aren't considering everything in my messages are you... Take a closer look at each one... The real message may not be in a single letter, but in all of them... I'm at the sixth floor now... 2 minutes..."

What?... I was getting a little sweaty now, I wasn't getting any of this, I couldn't understand what he was saying. I couldn't remeber what the other messages said... Wait, of coarse, they'd be in my item bag. I looked over each one... I couldn't find any messages in them...

The Clefairy jumped again... I pressed A on it.

"The Clefairy is holding some MAIL..."

"Now I am at the seventh floor... Have you figured out my message yet?... I'm still coming for my dear Clefairy... 1 minute..."

When I got out of the letter, the Clefairy was still standing there... I pressed A, and it said

"A Clefairy Pokedoll..."

A Pokedoll? But it was living a second ago. That's when I heard the sound of someone entering a room... I went to see what had entered, but there was nothing there.

I suddenly grew cold, and I was finding it hard to breathe. A dark shadow casted over me and, in front of me landed a rare candy covered in blood. I turned around to see a Clefable hovering behind me... It had blood trickling from it's neck, and a twisted grin... This couldn't have been what was sending me the messages... I was too stunned to move, scared out of my mind.

It spoke and said;

"I'm on the eighth floor now... 0 minutes..."
